Emeritus Professor Nicolette Lee

OLT National Senior Teaching Fellow

Nicki is currently a higher education consultant specialising in learning and teaching strategy, curriculum innovation and higher education quality, having retired from her role as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. She was previously the Executive Director Quality and Standards at La Trobe University, and prior to this was the Acting Pro Vice Chancellor and Executive Director (Learning and Teaching) at Victoria University and the Academic Director, Swinburne Professional Learning. Nicki has designed and taught numerous capstones, and led the implementation of capstones across disciplines at several institutions in Australia. She has a background and research interests in higher education curriculum models, particularly final year experience and transition, project and problem based approaches, design education and learning environment design and evaluation.

 

Dr Daniel Loton

Research Officer

Dan is an Educational Research Officer in the Centre for Collaborative Learning and Teaching at Victoria University. Dan provides research support to the Fellowship, particularly survey implementation and analysis. He has expertise in, and has worked on, a diverse range of qualitative and quantitative research projects, including investigating the impact of educational leadership structures on low socio-economic student outcomes in the secondary school system. Dan also has extensive research administration experience, particularly in the area of research ethics. He holds a first-class honours degree and a PhD in Psychology.
